Our Body’s Mitochondria may need some love

Every food you eat eventually becomes electrons that get shuttled across the inner mitochondrial membrane so that you can make ATP, your cellular energy currency. But “eventually” in the sentence above is the understatement of the century because there are a vast number of chemical reactions and biologic intermediates needed to make ATP. And all these intermediate steps rely on optimized levels of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and hormones! It’s all very complicated and research shows that 95% of the population has some level of mitochondrial dysfunction. Studies show that problems with our metabolism, neurochemistry, glucose levels and nutrient balances may lead to Alzheimer’s, Autoimmune disorders and other chronic health issues.
